( KRON ) — The Santa Rosa Police Department (SRPD) said a traffic stop on Thursday led to the arrest of a 28-year-old Stockton man with a loaded and unregistered Glock 9mm handgun.

Santa Rosa PD said an officer made the traffic enforcement stop at 5:36 p.m. while patrolling on Airway Drive. The officer said they smelled “freshly burnt marijuana” when approaching the vehicle, then spotted “loose marijuana” on the car’s center console.
Santa Rosa PD said the suspect, later identified as Marcello Morel, did not have a valid driver’s license. Police said Marcel was asked to perform several field sobriety tests, where it was determined that he was not impaired.
