Lathrop came tearing into Wednesday’s contest with nine straight wins and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Pacheco Panthers with a sharp 3-0 win. The Spartans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Panthers, too.
Lathrop’s got stronger as the match went on, holding Pacheco to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 28-26, 25-18, 25-15.
Lathrop’s victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ayden Petroff, who had two blocks and 37 assists.
