Former WPMA exec Philip Bibeau has died

Philip Bibeau served as executive director of the Wood Products Manufacturers Association for more than two decades. He died Dec. 7, 2024.

WESTMINSTER, Mass. – Longtime industry advocate and former executive director of the Wood Products Manufacturers Association, Philip Bibeau died Dec. 7 following complications from Lewy Body dementia. He was 67.

Bibeau joined the WPMA in 1995 as the director of Association Services. His leadership skills and commitment to excellence led to his appointment as executive director in 2000, and he continued to drive WPMA’s success until his retirement in 2022.

Under his stewardship, WPMA flourished as a resource and advocate for small- to mid-sized wood product manufacturers across North America. He was instrumental in bringing national business insurance programs to the association and affordable FSC certification as a member benefit.
