Four individuals have been apprehended after a police pursuit that began in Massachusetts and concluded with a vehicle crash in Rhode Island. The suspects, who were involved in the armed robbery of a FedEx driver in Harvard, Massachusetts, led authorities on a chase that crossed state lines. According to NBC Boston, the vehicle, a white Acura with Connecticut plates, came to a halt near the Providence/Cranston line after it crashed on Interstate 95.
Providence Police Chief Oscar Perez informed NBC that the chase began in Massachusetts, carried on into Rhode Island, and culminated when the suspects attempted to flee on foot following the crash. The four were wanted in connection to Thursday afternoon’s robbery in which two men allegedly threatened a FedEx deliveryman with violence while he was delivering a package. All four individuals have been taken into custody, though their identities have not been disclosed.
The initial robbery took place on Thursday when a FedEx driver was ambushed during a delivery in the quaint town of Harvard.
