Tewksbury police arrest two on drug, weapon charges after cemetery encounter

TEWKSBURY — Two individuals were arrested and charged with a litany of offenses early Sunday morning by the Tewksbury Police Department, Chief Ryan Columbus announced.

Luis De Jesus, age 39, of Lawrence, faces multiple charges including operating under the influence (second offense), trafficking in fentanyl, cocaine, and a class D drug, possession of a class B drug, carrying a dangerous weapon (two counts), and possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.

Keishla Soto, age 34, of Lowell, was also arrested and charged with assaulting a police officer (four counts), resisting arrest, possession of a class B drug, possession of ammunition without an FID card, and carrying a firearm without a license…
