Weston High School dismisses students early due to unsubstantiated school threat

Weston High School dismissed students early Thursday due to an unsubstantiated threat, police say. Police were contacted by Weston, Massachusetts police around 10:30 a.m. about a threat made on social media. An investigation found that the post targeted Weston High School in Connecticut and a specific staff member was named in the threat. The FBI was contacted and the school was evacuated as a precautionary measure. Only the high school dismissed early. Police and bomb squad units from neighboring communities searched the school, which was deemed safe. Officers did not find anything to suggest students or staff were in danger.
