A woman was taken to the hospital after she was attacked in an apparent home invasion in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, Thursday afternoon.

Melanie Russell says two strangers – a man and woman, kicked open her door, busted into her apartment, ran into her bedroom and threw her off the bed. They then punched her, used a stun gun and hit her in the face with a crowbar. Eventually, she says, her dog fought the attackers off and they left.

“He would cover my mouth and nose, because I would scream, and tell me to be quiet, and then saying in my ear ‘where is it? Where is it?’” Russell told NBC10 Boston…
