NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Another pedestrian was killed while walking near downtown Nashville in less than a week.
Early Saturday morning, the Metro Nashville Police Department said 58-year-old Michael O’Connell, of Belmar, New Jersey was fatally struck. O’Connell was in a crosswalk at 12th Avenue at Broadway when he was hit by a Dodge pickup truck.
Police said the driver of the truck, 36-year-old Joey Nixon, was trying to make a left turn onto Broadway from 12th Avenue South when he hit O’Connell who was crossing with a walk light…
