Bye-bye cold air, Welcome back 70s!

SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – After a frosty start to the weekend, warmer air is back. Saturday morning was our coldest morning, dropping to 39° at SRQ, 34° in parts of Lakewood Ranch, and 29° near Myakka City. Now we head back to lows in the 50s and highs in the 70s starting Sunday.

A much quieter weather pattern develops for the Suncoast as we end January and move into February. Storms will continue to develop in Texas and the northern Gulf states, but those storms will push to the northeast having little impact on our weather. And February looks warmer. Even our average highs are warmer, starting at 73° February 1st, warm to an average high of 77° by the end of the month…
