A local psychologist is encouraging her neighbors in Jamestown to brave the cold to raise some cash.
Jennifer Frechette’s business, the Children’s Wellness and Development Center, is sponsoring the “Chill for a Cause,” a New Year’s Day plunge at Mackerel Cove to raise money for two charities in Rhode Island. The group of hardy souls will run into Narragansett Bay at the stroke of noon Wednesday, Jan. 1.
While there is no cost to run into the water, donations will be collected for the Jamestown Education Foundation and The Autism Project. Hot chocolate from Dunkin’ will be provided.
