San Antonio Botanical Garden reveals ‘Illuminate’ holiday exhibit

For this holiday season, the San Antonio Botanical Garden is introducing a new exhibit featuring glowing tunnels and larger-than-life sculptures. “Illuminate” will replace the popular “Lightscape” exhibit that has transformed the garden center for the past two years during the winter.

The new exhibition will be open to the public starting November 29 and will run until January 12, 2025. The Botanical Garden stated in a news release on Thursday, November 7 that “Illuminate” showcases “beautiful installations, glowing tunnels, vibrant scenes and celebrates the beauty of nature and cultural artistry.”

Guests will walk through illuminated displays comprised of hundreds of handcrafted lanterns that blend art, nature and culture. The center stated, “This new showcase features larger-than-life sculptures, intricate designs, and dazzling scenes that will leave visitors spellbound.”
