DEERFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Deerfield and state police worked together to stop a 46 year-old man from Windsor, Connecticut who led them on a pursuit after allegedly having stolen a Windsor Fire Department vehicle and attempting to pull people over on I-91 early Saturday morning.
The suspect allegedly stole the fire department vehicle Friday night in addition to several tools, vandalizing property at the department, and setting a fire before leaving. Shortly after, several reports were made of suspicious attempted traffic stops from a Windsor Fire Department vehicle on I-91 in Northampton and Whately.
A Massachusetts State Trooper pulled the vehicle over and then the man fled, leading the Trooper on a chase ending with State and Deerfield Police utilizing stop sticks to end the pursuit…
