Employee shot, killed at Ellwood City Forge. What we know

ELLWOOD CITY ― A man is in police custody following a fatal shooting at Ellwood City Forge Thursday evening.

According to reports from state police, the shooting occurred at the business at 6:39 p.m. when 31-year-old Timothy Woods, who witnesses identified as a former employee of the plant, entered the property from the woods behind the building. Witnesses said they told Woods he was not allowed to be at the building, but he told them he was looking for 36-year-old Tim Bollman as he entered the building.

Moments after entering the building, witnesses said they heard several shots fired. Security camera footage shows Woods leaving the scene after this, running past the guard station and away from the location. When police arrived at the scene, they found Bollman shot multiple times with a 9mm pistol.

Police found suspect at home

Shortly after this, police received word that Woods was at a home on North Sewickley Township’s Belton Road, threatening to kill himself. The caller reported Woods told them that he had just killed Bollman. As emergency services surrounded the building, Woods exited with his hands raised and was taken into police custody…
