After several hours of deliberations on Friday and Monday, a jury has reached its final verdict in the case of a former Warren police officer described by prosecutors as a “serial rapist.”
The jury found Michael Edwards Jr. guilty on several counts of gross sexual imposition, sexual battery and two counts of rape, all with firearm specifications, as well as extortion, theft in office and dereliction of duty.
