SPRINGFIELD TWP., Pa. (WKBN) — A New Castle man is in Mercer County Jail after reports state he fought troopers attempting to arrest him and tried to take a trooper’s Taser.
Pennsylvania State Police troopers were called to Leesburg Grove City Road around 8 p.m. Friday for reports of a man acting erratically and shooting a BB or airsoft gun inside a parked vehicle.
Prior to troopers arriving on the scene, they learned the man, identified in reports as Austin Davies, had a felony warrant out for his arrest. Court records show Davies, 22, is facing a felony charge of criminal mischief as well as a couple of misdemeanor charges for a Feb. 4, 2024, incident out of Lawrence County…
