Lamont orders lowering of flags in remembrance of Sandy Hook school shooting victims

NEWTOWN, Conn. (WTNH) — Gov. Ned Lamont (D-Conn.) ordered U.S. and Connecticut flags to fly half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Saturday, Dec. 14, in remembrance of the lives lost in the Sandy Hook shooting 12 years ago.

The shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown killed 20 children and six adults on Dec. 14, 2012. The flags will be lowered to half-staff from sunrise on Saturday to honor the victims.
