NEW ORLEANS — New Orleans firefighters discovered an unidentified burned body after battling a one-alarm fire in Gentilly Saturday evening.
The fire department says the fire started in the detached shed of a home just around the corner, from a nearby house on Robin Street, and spread quickly to other homes near the intersection of Frenchman and Selma Streets in Gentilly.
During post-fire investigation, a body was found on the floor of the original fire building. A spokesperson for the NOFD said the body was badly burned and could not be identified…
