Thieves steal thousands of dollars in lottery tickets across NYC

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for two thieves who stole thousands of dollars worth of lottery tickets in two robberies across New York City in recent weeks.

The first robbery took place at a Manhattan business located at 46 Eighth Ave. in the West Village. At about 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 26, the suspects entered the establishment and simulated a gun before snatching $2,100 worth of lottery tickets.

Not even two weeks later, at 8:20 p.m. on Jan. 8, the duo went into a business at 31-02 Broadway in Astoria with a gun. They over doubled the worth of lottery tickets grabbed, leaving with $4,800 in value…
