ORLANDO, Fla. (WCTV) – The Florida A&M Rattlers struck early, often and when it mattered most against their arch-rivals from Daytona Beach on Saturday, making just enough plays to outlast the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats 41-38 in FAMU’s fourth straight victory in the series.
The Rattlers would jump to a quick 7-0 lead following a 17 yard touchdown rush from Thad Franklin Jr., but B-CU would strike back quickly following a Maleek Huggins punt return TD to tie the game at seven.
FAMU would notch on a field goal to end the quarter and then open the scoring in the second as Daniel Richardson found Jamari Gassett for a 12 yard TD to give the designated road team a 17-7 advantage…
