Newark is expected to receive its first measurable snow of the season Friday afternoon, while a more impactful winter storm is possible early next week.
According to the National Weather Service, Newark and most of the rest of the state could see 1 to 2 inches of snow starting Friday afternoon and continuing into the evening. A winter weather advisory is in effect from 3 to 10 p.m.
