AKRON, Ohio (WJW) — As many as 2,000 voters a day continue to stream into the Board of Elections office in Summit County , a steady stream that has continued for weeks leading up to November’s general election.
“We don’t make projections on turnouts here, what we will say is that we have had some of the biggest days of in-person early voting that we have had as individual days,” said Deputy Director of the Summit County Board of Elections, Pete Ziegler.
When is the last day to request an absentee ballot in Ohio?
“2016 is the one that I could compare against and turnout, especially in-person early is significantly higher. It’s tough to draw conclusions from 2020, that was a unique election year,” said Zeigler.
