ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) – As high-pressure slides further into the Atlantic, cloud cover grows into the night with low temperatures falling into the 40s. A few clouds may contain rainfall, but most will be dry.
Clouds stick around throughout Thursday with cool highs in the 60s as cool, moist air from the northeast continues to move into South Georgia. Highs will reside in the upper 50s and low 60s. Rain chances will be low. Heading into Friday, winds shift out of the south bringing in warmer highs in the upper 60s. Pesky cloud cover will be persistent, but most will remain dry.
The weekend features the best rainfall ahead of a cold front. Rainfall will begin Saturday afternoon and continue into Sunday evening. Severe weather is low, but not zero, as this storm system moves in. We dry out after the front moves through on Sunday night. However, temperatures will remain in the 70s heading into next week, just like over the weekend. More rain is possible on New Year’s Eve…
