Newport News Police Department Unveils Custom Recruitment Vehicles Showcasing City Landmarks

NEWPORT NEWS, VA — The Newport News Police Department (NNPD) has introduced four custom-designed recruitment vehicles aimed at attracting new officers while celebrating the city’s rich history and landmarks.

Each of the newly unveiled cruisers features a distinct design reflecting key aspects of Newport News. One vehicle displays the Newport News City Center skyline, while another highlights the South Precinct’s iconic Newport News Shipbuilding, set against a sunset backdrop with an aircraft carrier.

A third cruiser is wrapped in vibrant imagery of Newport News City Park, representing the North Precinct, and the fourth vehicle showcases the NNPD Headquarters building, described by the department as one of the most beautiful police facilities in Virginia.

The designs prominently feature the department’s new recruitment portal, JoinNNPD.com, along with contact information for the Recruiting Division.
