HAMPTON, Va. — The winter holidays are upon us, and that means thousands of children are back home for the festivities. While this is great news for many families, some are worried about how they will feed everyone.
According to the School Nutrition Association, approximately 19 million meals are given as free lunches to students across the nation. Many families depend on this free food, and so when schools close, several food banks often step up.
