Chris Stewart, WR (Texas commit)

Four-star Pearland (TX) Shadow Creek wide receiver and 2026 Texas commit Chris Stewart has been a regular visitor at Longhorns games at DKR this fall. Stewart has been locked-in and engaged with the Longhorns, as well as other Texas commits in the 2026 class, since he committed to UT late in the summer.

Stewart enjoyed the atmosphere and the solid performance from Texas’s offense in the win over Kentucky yesterday. He’s got high expectations for the Longhorns for the rest of the season and the postseason to finish out the 2024-25 campaign.

Jaime Ffrench, WR (Texas commit)

It was a big deal for the Longhorns to get the elite five-star Jacksonville (FL) Mandarin wide receiver commit Jaime Ffrench back to campus for a gameday visit this weekend for the win over Kentucky. After taking an official visit to see the Florida Gators host the LSU Tigers at The Swamp in Gainesville last weekend, it was huge for Texas to get Ffrench back to Austin to quiet down the speculation regarding him possibly flipping his commitment away from the Longhorns before signing day.

The same could be said for four-star Port Charlotte (FL) defensive lineman/Texas commit Myron Charles, who was put on flip watch after there was some speculation that he would make a return trip to Florida this weekend. But since Charles and Ffrench were both in Austin for the win over Kentucky yesterday, the Longhorns feel much better about the status of those commitments in the 2025 class…
