The calendar might say it’s October, but it hardly looks like fall across Michiana. Most of the leaves still on tree branches are as green as they were during the summer months.
Any change in color so far has mostly stemmed from drought conditions throughout Michiana. While the latest drought monitor did show some slight improvements, seasonal rainfall is still below normal.
However, don’t despair, fans of fall: the green leaves will rapidly change color over the next few weeks…
