Broncos seize second-half momentum to blowout Colts

In a game where both the offense and the defense came out a little cold for the Denver Broncos, it sure looked like the Indianapolis Colts were in full control midway through the third quarter — then disaster struck. Johnathan Taylor had what should have been the game-clinching 41-yard touchdown run, but he dropped the ball just as he crossed the goal line to give up both the points and possession.

After that it was all Denver who rallied for 24-unanswered points to take and hold the lead and the win. You blow momentum like that in the NFL and a game can quickly turn on you and that’s exactly what happened to the Colts here in Week 15.

Bad for them, but OH SO GOOD FOR US FANS. The Broncos playoff ticket is now likely punched barring an historic collapse and an historic run by one of the few teams not eliminated.

To start the game, the Broncos defense performed well on first and second downs for the most part, but were absolutely slaughtered on third downs. Multiple third and long conversions led to the Colts score behind a 23-yard scamper by Anthony Richardson on their first drive…
