Cold case investigation leads to guilty plea in Michelle McClendon murder

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — Cameron Lamar Parker pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of Michelle McClendon on Wednesday, closing a 13-year investigation.

In the early morning of Nov. 7, 2011, officers responded to a call about shots being fired in the 500 block of Chautauqua Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers found a body with a gunshot wound. The victim was identified as 42-year-old Michelle McClendon.
