According to the National Weather Service in Lincoln, IL, at 10:25 p.m., a dangerous squall line capable of producing tornadoes and significant straight-line wind damage was located near Mackinaw, approximately nine miles southeast of Morton. The storm is moving northeast at 50 mph, bringing the potential for quarter-sized hail and strong winds.
Residents in the affected area, including those near Mackinaw and along Interstate 155 between mile markers 11 and 19, are urged to seek shelter immediately.
