Tornadoes spotted in northwestern McLean County as storm sweeps through area

Sirens sounded in parts of McLean County on Wednesday afternoon as another spring storm system crashed through the area. At least one person was reported injured.

Trained weather spotters reported seeing tornadoes near Mackinaw (3:44 p.m.), west of Comlara Park (4 p.m.), and near Kappa (4:10 and 4:15 p.m.), according to preliminary storm reports to the National Weather Service. That’s all along the northwest edge of McLean County.

The driver of a semitrailer truck was injured when high winds overturned the truck on Interstate 39 north of Hudson, according to another preliminary storm report submitted by an emergency management official. The driver was taken to the hospital in unknown condition…
