Adoptable animals arrive in San Luis Obispo after Los Angeles fires

Woods encourages residents to adopt animals to free up additional space at the shelter for more transfers from Los Angeles

– Woods Humane Society has recently transported 32 adoptable dogs and cats from Los Angeles to San Luis Obispo to make room in shelters for pets displaced by the recent fires in Los Angeles County. The transfers, conducted in collaboration with Los Angeles County Animal Care and Control, aim to support emergency pet rescue efforts.

The animals, which were already available for adoption prior to the fires, were relocated to Woods Humane Society’s San Luis Obispo facility.
