Two Oregon residents arrested for impersonating firefighters in Palisades Fire

LOS ANGELES, California — Two individuals from Oregon were arrested for impersonating firefighters during the Palisades Fire, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The arrests occurred on Saturday, January 18, 2025, after a suspicious fire truck was spotted in the evacuation zone.The Los Angeles Police Department patrol unit, accompanied by fire personnel, noticed a fire truck that appeared illegitimate. Sheriff’s deputies then contacted the occupants of the truck, who were attempting to enter the evacuation zone. The individuals, identified as 31-year-old Dustin Nehl and 44-year-old Jennifer Nehl, both of Oregon, were wearing turnout gear and claimed to be from the Roaring River Fire Department, a non-existent agency.Further investigation revealed…..
