With 2024 coming to an end, there have been many court cases that have concluded with pleas, trials and judges’ rulings — but there are just as many that are still inching through the legal system.
The Herald-Tribune gathered a list of cases previously covered which are expected to further progress through the legal system, with some expected to go to trial as early as the first week of the year.
While there is an expectation that cases on this list will eventually go to trial, that is subject to change depending on if plea deals and motions pushing for extensions are made, and whether prosecutors decide to drop charges.
