Man rescued by fisherman after boat capsizes in Milford

MILFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — A man was hospitalized with hypothermia after being rescued from a capsized boat by a local fisherman in Milford on Wednesday morning.

According to Battalion Chief Jason Dombrowski, at around 3 a.m., a man went fishing on his boat when it capsized, and he could not contact emergency officials.

Dombrowski said a local fisherman spotted the man on top of his boat near Charles Island and rescued him, bringing him to the Milford Yacht Club.
