Oxford Christmas Eve shooting suspect, Malik Webb, charged with 19 counts, including murder

The suspect in the “random” Christmas Eve shooting in Oxford, identified in court as 29-year-old Malik Letroy Webb, was charged with a 19-count complaint, including felony murder on Saturday.

Webb, who is from Genessee County according to the Oakland County Sherriff’s Office, stands accused of having shot three people near Ray Road on Christmas Eve in Oxford, killing one. The shooting took place minutes away from Oxford High School, the site of a 2021 shooting that left four dead and seven injured.

Webb was released from prison in 2023 after serving five years and six months for felony gun charges. He was released two years short of his maximum sentence, despite acquiring another weapons charge while in prison.
