Metro Detroit is getting a taste of spring in late December.
That springlike weather includes both above-normal temperatures and rain. Following Saturday’s high of 58 degrees–several degrees short of the record of 64 degrees–at Detroit Metro Airport, temperatures will fall into the 40s at night. Lows will range from the upper 30s in the Thumb to the lower 40s in Metro Detroit.
Clouds will increase, and a few spots will develop light, patchy fog late. Widespread rain will approach from the south after 3 a.m.
Sunday
It will be a rainy and breezy start and end to Sunday. Along with a possible rumble of thunder, the rain will lead to ponding on roadways and sidewalks. Highs will range from 45 to 50 degrees.
