The St. Mary’s men opened the second half on a 10-1 run and went on to cruise to an 81-56 West Coast Conference defeat of Loyola Marymount in Moraga on Tuesday night.
The Gaels (14-3, 4-0 WCC) led only 30-24 at the half, but with the burst pushed their advantage to 15 and the Lions (9-8, 1-4) never got within nine the rest of the way as St. Mary’s scored 51 points in the second half.
Eleven of the 12 Gaels who played scored, led by Augustas Marciulionis’ 23 points. Luke Barrett had a double-double (12 points, 10 rebounds), Paulius Murauskas added 10 points and eight rebounds and Mitchell Saxen chipped in 10 rebounds and seven points…
