Climate change is real, and the impact of climate change is felt most strongly by economically disadvantaged and communities of color. Addressing this inequitable burden is known as climate justice. This broad concept is not just some coastal concern, it is very much in play in Omaha. This is why any plan to make Omaha more resilient to climate change must incorporate climate justice concerns in addressing the needs of low income and working class tenants.
