(Tempe City) – California had 11 different players score and it proved to be too much for Alhambra in a 78-59 win over the Moors in the Temple City/ Duarte Tournament.
The Condors have 15 players on the roster and everybody saw action early and often in hockey style substitutions. Five players would hit the court and five would run off. Cal jumped out to a 17-11 lead in the first quarter, extended it to 12 at the half before breaking it wide open in the third quarter.
Cal increased the lead to 19 points at the end of the third quarter and led by many as 30 early in the fourth before the Moors cut into it late in the game.
In the fourth quarter Edgar Beltran knocked down three consecutive threes and Kenny Renfrow and Jeremy Dayton also buried shots from beyond the arc as the Condors led 72-41 at one point. California scored 25 points in the fourth quarter to put the game away…
