Selma girls wrestling team goes to town in San Dimas

The Selma Bears girls wrestling team went to town at the 11th annual GYSGT Richard D. Madrid Memorial which took place Jan. 3-4 at San Dimas High School in San Dimas, California.

Coaches Ernie Escalera and Chelsy Mendoza drove the Selma Girl Wrestling team rig into Los Angeles County with a drive that resulted in two championship finalists. It was Olivia Furlong at 170 pounds and Kailey “Bug” Salazar at 110 pounds who convincingly defeating their opponents in both taking first at the very competitive Marina Tournament.
