Doctors discover ways to reduce common side effect of chemotherapy

LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) – Women undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer often face many side effects. One, called neuropathy, can be extremely painful, and research shows black women are more likely to experience it.

Sasha Wright is a busy mother of two, and she’s also a breast cancer survivor. In 2019, at just 31 years old, she found out she had Stage 2 breast cancer.
