FAYE: Lamar must answer quarterback question to move forward

While watching a weekend full of college football and NFL playoffs, one thing became clear to me.

If you don’t have a quarterback, your team isn’t going anywhere. It’s the most important position on the field, and in a pass-happy game these days, getting good quarterback play is paramount.

That brings me to Lamar University’s football team, which by all measures has rapidly ascended since coach Pete Rossomando arrived two years ago. The Cardinals put together back-to-back winning seasons, and that’s great, but they’ve yet to seriously contend for a conference championship or a trip to the FCS national playoffs…
