Port Arthur felon sentenced for firearms and drug trafficking violations

A felon from Port Arthur has been sentenced for firearms and drug trafficking violations.

Jacob Jermaine Alpough, 42, was sentenced to six and a half years in federal prison by Judge Michael Truncale on Oct. 28. He previously pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm and possession with intent to distribute cocaine.

According to information presented in court, on Oct. 10, 2023, police found two tightly wrapped packages with about 1 kilogram of cocaine under the dining room table when executing a search warrant at Alpough’s residence on West Fifth Street in Port Arthur…
