ORANGE, Texas — A 19-year-old father-to-be is recovering after a Thanksgiving Day stabbing left him fighting for his life.
Zeke Chargois, of Orange, spent 12 days in the intensive care unit at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont following an alleged altercation with his half-brother that turned violent and left him with six stab wounds.
Chargois described the moment of the attack recalling, “I feel the most intense burning sensation, sharp pain, and I just realized I just got stabbed.” The incident threatened to tear him away from his pregnant girlfriend and unborn child – a prospect that became his primary motivation for survival…
