Lowcountry Food Bank (LCFB) has been awarded $50,000 in grant funding by Norfolk Southern Corporation to support the LCFB’s mission in the 10 coastal counties of South Carolina to unite its community in pursuit of equitable, dignified, and consistent access to food. The funds will be used by LCFB to purchase more than 168,000 pounds of nutritious food, including fresh produce.
“This funding will have an immediate impact on the work we do,” said Nick Osborne, Lowcountry Food Bank President and CEO. “We’re thankful to Norfolk Southern for investing in our community and for supporting our mission.”
