Florida’s Disney World is making preparations for Hurricane Milton as the major storm is expected to soon make landfall.
As the storm is due to hit the Sunshine State’s west coast on Wednesday , the Orlando-based park has announced limited closures of some of its operations from October 9. “Milton is expected to grow in size and remain an extremely dangerous hurricane when it approaches the west coast of Florida on Wednesday,” the National Hurricane Center (NHC) said in an update on Tuesday morning.
“We are closely monitoring the path of the projected storm , and the safety of our Guests and Cast Members remains our top priority,” the company said in a statement on its website. “Looking ahead, we are making adjustments based on the latest weather forecast and some areas with unique environments.”
