The city of Ormond Beach is looking to replace or repair three playgrounds this year.
City Manager Joyce Shanahan reported to the commission that staff has determined the playground at Andy Romano Beachfront Park needs to be replaced after sustaining hurricane damage last year, and that the city would like to do it in tandem with the repairs of the park’s seawall, a project for which the city recently received a $2.1 million bid; that project, which is coming in under budget, will come before the commission for approval on Feb. 4.
