CHICO, Calif. – The reopening of the final sections of the Bruce Road widening project in Chico has been pushed back until next week.
Bruce Road has been closed for nine months as crews widen a two-mile stretch of the road in southeast Chico to four lanes. Construction started in April 2024. Part of the road south of East 20th Street reopened on December 10.
