DOJ: Man pleads guilty to attempted coercion and enticement of a minor

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A Wisconsin man faces possible life in prison after he pled guilty to attempted coercion and enticement of a minor and attempted transfer of obscene material to a minor.

James Tyra Bowman, 30, of Appleton, Wisconsin, faces possible life in prison, a $250,000 fine, and up to a limited period of supervised release, which includes sex offender registration requirements, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.

Bowman admitted to using social media and the name “Genuis_Outlaw” to try to persuade someone to have an illegal sexual relationship with him, according to a DOJ news release…
