KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – On Tuesday, the Kansas City Zoo and Aquarium announced that — effective immediately — smoking is banned on zoo grounds.
The decision was made “to provide a safer and healthier environment for guests, employees and animals,” the Zoo posted online.
All designated smoking areas have been removed from the grounds and guests are now required to leave if they want to smoke. The Zoo clarified that guests are allowed to leave and come back within the same day, but they must get stamped at the entry gate before they leave…
